Huyana: The World of the Water Wolves

Kohana smiled faintly, resting her head lightly ontop of hers. "Is it?" He asked, his tone light and content. "I hope it is." His only worry was his poor mate having too many pups to deal with. She already had three to cater for. Although, Cove and Caspian seemed to be getting larger by the day...

"Yes." She asnwered. "Maybe whenever Cove and Caspian get large enough to not need to be watched as much... But then I fear it may be uncomfrotable with them, you know, having a new sibling, or two. So I'd also want to do it when they are slightly young."

"Yes, I wouldn't want you be overloaded with puppies!" He chuckled slightly, but there was a touch of serious in his tone. "But then, you're right. Or maybe they'll enjoy it, having someone younger to play with. All the same, we wouldn't to upset them."

Akua nodded. "Yes... Maybe we should call them over, and see if they would like brothers or sister?"

Kohana nodded, glancing downwards at the clearing again. "Yes, good idea. We won't really know otherwise." He decided, and then added, "and I'd like to see how the adopted pup is getting along also."

Akua nodded, and called to the pups. "Cove, Caspian!" They jogged over, wrestling with each other along the way.

Kohana watched as the pups bounded over, chuckled as he watched them batting at eachother playfully. "My, aren't you two getting big and strong now, huh? Well, we have a question to ask you..." He glanced over to Akua; she spent more time with them, and Kohana had a habit of making touchy situations go wrong... The pups were staring at them expectantly.

Akua took a breath. "How would you two lie more siblings?"

Cove, the female, tilted her head. "I dunno. They'd have to be younger. Then we don't have to be the youngest in the pack!!" Kohana nodded, this was fairly positive, considering they would be younger. He swept his gaze over to Caspian, who had said nothing yet.

Caspian just shrugged his shoulders.

Akua let out a long sigh...

Kohana sighed also. You have nothing to say Caspian? This is important you know. He said, his tone soft. Cove piped up again; "Why?" Kohana just shrugged simply.

Caspian shrugged again. "I Guess it would be nice to have a boy sibling..." He said, half-smiling. He was the shy, quiet one out of the two.

Caspian cleared his throat, and then turned to trot off. He walked towards the water pool, and climbed in. His father though he wasn't water wolf... I mean, he was partial water wolf, just without the crazy vibrant colors. He swam on the edge. When he touched the water, it glinted rainbow colors.

Kohana watch his 'son' trot of, and Cove followed soon after, leaping into the water with a small splash. He hurried after, assure the two young wolves were okay. They most seemed to be capable swimmers, but Kohana sat by the water's edge and watched, his ice blue eyes never leaving the two swimming figures.

Taima was half asleep by the water, her paws still dangling in the pool.

Caspian was swimming, and he swam under. He felt an odd sensation. As soon as he body fully merged under the water, he felt tingly, and found himself breathing. The water began to zap from one color to the next, and he surfaced again. "I can breathe under water!" He told Kohana, accidently splashing Tai.

Cove dunked her head under water and twirled around a couple of times, then lifted her head again to exclaim; "Me too!" She giggled, diving deeper into the water. Ko was slightly relieved to see both pups were water-inclined in some way.

Tai's eyes shot open as cold water hit her fur form Caspian's splashing. She held back a growl and pulled herself upwards to prevent further surprise attacks. She lifed her head to see Coal lapping up the water, and nodded to her in greeting.

Coal smiled back to Taima, feeling a bit sheepish. Was now the time to talk? Or perhaps-

Kyo walked up and nuzzled his mate down the length of her body before plopping down right next to her. Mornings beautiful.

--later... Coal sighed. More waiting. Taking the opportunity though she watched their interaction from time to time with a few glances. She wanted to learn.

The little white normal pup crawled towards Coal, whining.

"Whats that?" Caspian asked, tilting his head in confusion. It didn't look like them. Although it still looked like a dog, it just..was different. It's ear didn't stand straight. They fell over the side of his head. "Whats wrong with his ears, dad?"

Kohana snapped his head round to see the little white dog pup crawling feebly toward Coal. "It's a canine pup, like you, but alot younger. It's similar to us, but not quite the same. We're looking after him, so don't hurt him, okay?" Kohana explained sternly, his voice still holding a kindness

Taima grinned as she saw her mate emerge. She licked his neck affectionately, but paused as she saw his jaw. She frowned slightly. Morni- Kyo, your jaw! Oh, you didn't put anything on it for the swelling did you?" She sighed, but then chuckled, licking the swollen spot tenderly.
